Last Year the Scottish Conference for Optical Technologies brought together over 100 students, early career researchers and professionals from optics and photonics disciplines. Showcasing academic research and opportunities available in industry.

We have partnered with Technology Scotland and IOP Scotland to bring the 2025 conference, and we hope you will get involved and join our growing number of sponsors.  With a changes in the conference structure, we bring more opportunities to reach a wider audience

Undergraduate Day

Final year undergraduate students will have the opportunity to present their projects, and attend talks, panel sessions and workshops, delivered by PhD students and early career industry employees

Industry Spotlight

Industry specific sessions and panel discussions will take place throughout the conference. With jobs fairs and networking opportunities, and an exclusive conference dinner where platinum sponsors will have the opportunity to host a drinks reception

PhD Student Focus

With keynote speakers from across optics and photonics, this will provide a platform for PhD students to present their work in parallel oral presentation sessions and poster presentations where industry members can hear about cutting-edge research and network with potential employees
