About SCOT
SCOT is a unique, student-run conference dedicated to bridging the gap between industry and academia. Organized by a collaboration of PhD students from across Scotland’s Universities, we have brought together roughly 200 students, early-career researchers and professionals from optics and photonics disciplines.
Our mission is to showcase academic research and opportunities available in industry. We have seen great success with forming industry connections through our partnership with Photonics Scotland and in bridging the gap between undergraduate studies and postgraduate studies via our dedicated Undergraduate Day.
